Food - 5 Service - 5 Ambience - 5 Drinks - 4.5 Price quality/ratio - Excellent I have been coming to this place since early 2021 in one of my trips to Miami before I became a local :). I have only positive things to say about this place. Try their huevos rancheros, I would have that every day for lunch. Enjoy and cheers!
I had some amazing Tacos from this place. The view is amazing and the music they play is great. Thank you from my server Tiffany who was amazing.
They called it a rooftop restaurant, but it's really not. Upstairs from moxie, It's just on the second level open patio style, absolutely amazing location! Food and service here is excellent! Shout out to Maria for your friendly service and great recommendations! The drinks and food were great! My husband loved his margarita. I loved my cucumber spritz. The shrimp ceviche appetizer I have to say was flavorful but very skimpy on the portion, and honestly the corn nuts added were gross. Ruined it! My husband loved his well fish tacos, and I loved my Birria beef tacos. I definitely recommend this place in South Beach.
We went here for Mother's Day brunch this past May. We waited sort of last minute before we decided to go anywhere, and Serena had advertised their Mother's Day lunch sort of late. I'd had it on my list of places to go anyway, so it worked out! Serena is on the roof of the Moxie hotel. You have to valet park which was fairly simple except that the valet didn't take card... I was able to pay her through the cash app, but only bc I didn't have cash and asked what to do. The girl was nice and directed us into the hotel to go upstairs, but we actually should have used the elevator right there on the outside, as that would have taken us directly to the restaurant rather than the rooftop patio in general. Once we arrived at the restaurant, we were seated around the perimeter of the rooftop on their couches with a coffee table style table in front of us.. maybe a little taller. It was nice but not super conventional seating for eating a meal. I still liked it, though, and thought it was nice. (Just would fit much better with some cocktails/ happy hour in the evening). At one point they brought out a huge fan to aim at the "row" of tables we were on, because it was HOT out and we were essentially sitting in the sun. But then a few minutes later they moved it to one table in the corner... not sure if that family had specifically complained or requested it, but that was annoying. But none of that really mattered in the long run. It was a beautiful brunch, and the servers were all so friendly. And the food was AMAZING. We ordered from their Mother's Day menu, so I don't know if these are normally on there, but my husband had the Guava and Cream Cheese French Toast which was TO-DIE-FOR. Omg this was so so good. And I had the Hash Brown Benedict, which was ALMOST like the savory counterpart to the French toast in terms of flavor. I love hash browns anyway, but whatever they put in their hollondaise sauce was everything! In all, this was a beautiful and unique place with DELICIOUS food. I would love to go back here in the evening for drinks sometime because I can only imagine how great the vibe is then.
I'm so happy that Serena brought back their happy hour. They have a decent selection of cocktails and bites. My favorites were the Sola Pero Acompañada and the plantain croquetas. Enjoying all this on a beautiful rooftop makes Serena the perfect spot to decompress after a hard day's work.
The place looks great, and the food was good, though the portions were on the smaller side. When I visited, we ordered the special, which featured half-off wine--a nice touch. The decor is very appealing and definitely adds to the experience. They have chairs at the bar suspended on ropes like swings , which is a unique and fun detail. The middle of the restaurant is beautifully decorated with an amazing flower arrangement, adding to the overall ambiance. However, I do feel the pricing is a bit high for the small portions. Despite this, it's a nice place to check out, especially if you're looking for a trendy spot with a unique atmosphere and decent food.
Sooooooooooo! The Serena rooftop. This pace was super nice. Took the Ms. here for Valentine's Day and I must say this spot did not disappoint with anything. The night was cool, the music being played was diverse and had the perfect volume, the server Tee was very attentive, plus we received a fire show. The food was on point, flavorful. - Plantin Croqueta (too fire) - Enchilada De Pollo (so flavorful and filling) -Modelo This place is a must try and yes we"ll be going again.
How to access? Park in the street, go down the alley and through the hotel past the little bar, up a flight of stairs to floor 2. Yes, there's also an elevator. I couldn't find the place at first because it's in a hotel. The food isn't anything to write home about, but the vibe and decor are all very instagram worthy. Was here for brunch on a Saturday so lots of other ladies were here having a girls morning with their besties, or bachelorette get together. It is partially covered and they can further cover the area in the event that rain comes in. The "rooftop" is an allusion as you're actually sitting on the second floor but it's still great! Service was fantastic with our direct waiter but the busser didn't speak English or Spanish so that was a bit harder to get things like extra napkins and drinks. Not to worry though, he went to our guy who promptly came over and did check on us a good amount of times. I had the fish tacos based on the waiters recommendation and they were good, not too heavy or greasy but were breaded. They had picked onions and regular radishes that made the dish look beautiful. Two were plenty as they are on flour tortillas and quite substantial in size. My partner had a cubano and it was huge! It came with fries which were good but we both regretted because I was helping him finish the food to avoid a to go box, and it was just too much. If we shared, it would've been more reasonable.
